Eco Schools Award
Eco-Schools is a global programme that reaches 16 million children across 64 different countries. Eco-Schools is operated globally by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), and was launched in 1994 in response to the 1992 UN Rio Earth Summit.
We are very proud to have achieved our Silver Eco Award and are working hard to gain our Gold.
The School Games Mark
The School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme which rewards schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
We first took part in the 2015 Games and were awarded a Gold Mark. We have subsequently been recognised for our outstanding commitment to the Surrey School Games values: honesty, teamwork, self belief, respect, passion, determination by inspiring young people through PE and Sport as well as achieving our second Gold mark.
The Primary Science Quality Mark
The Primary Science Quality Mark is a highly successful, unique, award programme to develop and celebrate the profile of science teaching, learning and leadership in primary schools.
The award spans a three year period and we are proud to have achieved the Silver Award in the 2016/17 academic year.
Terrific Scientific Award
The Primary Science Quality Mark has teamed up with the BBC to further discover our children's inner scientists. Through our experiments and investigations we have been awarded 'School Of Excellence' in the Terrific Scientific Award.
Space Education Quality Mark
The Space Education Quality Mark (SEQM) is an award given to UK primary or secondary schools and colleges that have shown significant use of the context of space in subjects, have worked with other organisations, shared resources and used space to enrich the curriculum.
We were awarded the bronze award for 2016/17.
The Music Mark
Music Mark is a government supported membership organisation, subject association and charity that advocates high-quality, music education provision for all school aged children and young people, which addresses diversity, equality and inclusion at its core.
Schools can only become a Music Mark Member through their local music education hub/service. Each school nominated should meet one or all of the criteria as below:
- evidence of a willingness to engage in development conversations related to improving music provision
- recognition of the value of music education as part of a broad and balanced curriculum
- a strategy for music in place which provides for all children
We were awarded the Music Mark for 2020/21.
